Open almost every archive file imaginable with ALZip
You can open and extract alz, ace, arc, arj, b64, bh, bhx, bin (hex files), bin (CD images), bz2, cab, ear, enc, gz, ha, ice, iso, jar, lcd, lha, lzh, mim, pak, rar, tar, tgz, uue, uu, war, xxe, z, zip, zoo, 7z, and 001files.
There are lots more file extensions that you can open as well. Just drag and drop files like WSZ or WAL WinAmp skin files into ALZip to open them.
CD image files can also be opened and individual files extracted.
Self-Extracting Archives (SelF-eX tracting archives, or SFX) are special compressed archives files that have a built in extractor so you can open them without any additional software like ALZip.
ALZip lets you create SFX files so you can distribute your files without worrying about whether they can open them or not. Just double-click on an ALZip SFX file to open it. SFX files are executable files (EXE).
SFX options in ALZip let you:
1. Choose a custom title for the extractor
2. Choose an icon for the extractor
3. Set an extraction path
4. Run a command after the file is extracted
5. Set the SFX for auto-extraction
And unlike other compression utilities, you don't pay for SFX functionality seperately.
ALZip's own ALZ format lets you split files into any size you want!
From small KB sized split volumes to large GB split volumes, ALZip puts you in charge of how big your split files are. With ALZ split archives you can email anything you want to anyone.
Simply type in your custom size and either KB or MB.
Split archives are also known as spanned archives or split zip files.
ALZip lets you specify which program you want to open unknown file types with.
This makes opening them much faster than otherwise. Generally, Notepad or a simple text editor is the best choice.
Also, since opening unknown files can be dangerous due to worms, viruses, and other malware, the defaults in ALZip will help to protect your computer from harm.

"-oa": Overwrite an existing file which has the same name when extracting
"-os": Skip an existing file which has the same name when extracting
"-on": Overwrite if an existing file which has the same name is newer when extracting
"-oo": Overwrite if an existing file which has the same name is older when extracting
2) Added: Message added when extracting massive compression file (over 4GB)

4) Changed: Folder created when setting a destination folder and extracting in the command line
5) Changed: Unnecessary maximize Button discarded
6) Fixed: System stopped when creating more than a certain number of new folders
